Concluindo minha correspondência com a Helô, o resultado final da tradução dos meus dois poemas que vão entrar na exposição Imagining Ourselves. Ela aliás me deu uma notícia que me deixou mais feliz ainda: as duas brasileiras selecionadas somos e eu e... Leiam aí embaixo!

Uma mulher pode ser um jeito

A woman can be a skill - - skill me parece muito técnico, vc tem um skill para um trabalho
A woman can be a knack -- knack tem mais jinga, significa "a clever expedient or way of doing something", não fica melhor ???

Poemas finalizados, aliás não sei se sabe disso, mas as selecionadas foram vc, com o Pau Mole e Uma Mulher..., e a Marisa Monte, com Profeta Gentileza.

I love a soft dick
Just like that.
I do not drink mate tea
I do not like coconut water
I do not ride a bike
I did not see ET
and I l-o-v-e a soft dick.

I love a soft dick
for what it exposes in vulnerability
and for what it hides in possibility.

I love a soft dick
because touching one presumes the existence
of a certain freedom and intimacy
that I cherish and always want.

Because it is the icon of post-sex ,
(that is in essence and automatically
­-even though maybe a little anticipatedly)
always pre-sex as well.

A soft dick is a promise of happiness
quietly murmured next to the ear .

And it is inside of it,
in all its wobbly softness
of modeling clay,
that lives the firm and strong dick
with which my man takes me.

A woman can be a knack
A rib or a defect.
A woman overflows the edges
Measures up
Eases the dissonance
She joggles and jingles.
A woman can be a scream
A belly
A precipice.
A woman can be an abyss or a haven.
And she can be both
And she is.
